Introducing Our New DI

We are proud to announce the arrival of our new Heidelberg Direct Imaging (DI) Press! In our last two newsletters, we described the process of direct imaging and how several steps associated with traditional offset printing have been eliminated with this technological breakthrough. At The Yankee Printer, we saw that our customers could do more for their businesses by us adding direct-image capabilities. This new technology allows us to send clients' electronic files and documents directly to the press without making film. By avoiding the costs associated with film, stripping, and manual plate-loading, our customers save money on their full color printing. Short run jobs that customers previously thought were too expensive to produce in full color are now feasible.

But money isn't the only thing that our clients will save: they will save time. Without all the traditional steps, less time is needed to get the job ready and approved for print. And all of this is achieved without sacrificing the great quality of true offset printing.Some printing companies talk about fast, digital printing solutions for short run full color printing. But often, these solutions involve digital toner-based printing devices. These types of machines are great for certain applications, which is why we have them also. But nothing compares to the quality of ink-based offset printing.
